SniderVillage suggests the following safety
tips!
1. Use safe
alternatives to represent your child on the WWW!
A. Have your child draw a picture of himself, scan it, and post it as a cute
representation of his or herself.
B. Find a graphic that resembles your child, and use it to safely
represent your child.
2. Post pictures of your children on pass-word protected pages only!
Use your discretion when giving out the pass-word!
3. Never give out TMI (Too much information)!!! Review
your site today and determine just how much information a stranger can gather about your
loved ones! Make necessary changes to safeguard
your children, today!
Please note: Although
SniderVillage does not presume to know what's best for you and your family, we strongly
recommend that all parents take a better look at the homepages they've created, and
determine just how safe it is for your children! Is
it really necessary to provide a wealth of information to virtual strangers? If the
wrong person drops by for a visit, what then? How much information will this person
be able to gather, and what are the possible ramifications?
Can you really be too protective when it comes to the safety of
your loved ones? Use discretion when creating a webpage for your child!
Protect, educate and always safeguard your children from potential
dangers (sex offenders & pediphiles) just as you would in every day life! You
wouldn't stand on the street corner and hand out pictures, and personal information
regarding you and your family to everyone that walks by, now would you? So, why
provide that same personal information to everyone on your Internet doorstep?
Do your part to keep your children safe... on and off-line!
